I would like to echo Dougl St. Christian's idle curiosity of the connection of
ethnomethodology to interpretive/pomo athropology. Does Goffman fit in here?
The idea that we are only continually presenting texts to one another and
never revealing the true or essential self has alway struck me as rather
poststructural modern (much like I consider the Brothers Karamozov a pomo
novel before its time).
