field gear interested folks...

someone has suggested we give serious consideration to book - either in
print or in some electronic form to combine our ideas and experiences
and advice on the range of gear oriented question...

i think it a great idea and am volunteering to at least organize the
preliminaries of such a venture...

but it is chrismas and this has not been a good week for me...i plan to
spend some time doing some serious drinking and christmassing... then
spend some time thinking about this field advice for the fin de siecle
idea...

i'll be in touch with any interested parties shrtly with a kind of draft
proposal...

i want to leave you with the best advice i got, from my now former
supervisor and still fine friend, bill rodman...
