paradigm can ever claim to fully explain the nature and complexity of a
given sociocultural system. "Ecological" schools-- e.g. Marvin Harris'
"Cultural Ecology"-- *typically* examine the sphere of
techno-environmental variables in an effort to define cross-cultural
generalizations on the subject.
