Just don't get too carried away with the idea far too popular around
here, Keith, that the Internet can ever substitute for a thorough
review of the literature, or for that matter a decent bout with The
Other out in the field.

Frankly, it is probably better that anthropologists remain computer
illiterate. Or at least keep the dread things out at the margins of
their anthropological consciousness . . .
