Sorry for snipping the whole post, but I just felt it only fair to chide
this poster for being insulting. I also chided Bryant for being
insulting, and he apologized, and we have been carrying on a civilized
discussion since then. I appreciate that you were willing to acknowledge
your own negative feelings, but having done so, is it necessary to wallow
in them? You make some good points in your post, but frankly the tone is
so snippy that I got irritated too. Is this really a way to carry on
discussion? Do you really expect Bryant to think and respond honestly to
what you have written?
Sorry, folks, I don't want to be den mother here, and I'm sure I'll get
flamed for being smug or self-riteous. I've just been on too many
newsgroups where discussions which were very interesting dissolved into
flaming, and then they become something other than discussions. Can't we
keep it an honest exchange of ideas?
