Getting along

This message is for the people who are trying to or are considering doitching
this list because of the presumed lack of ability on the part of the
participants to get along:

That's simply not the case. It's based on an overgenerlaization using the
RJ-centered threads as the evidence. Many of us on here disagree with
eachother politely, and many of us find room for agreement even though we are
on opposite ends of the spectrum.

As evidence: Ms. Ruby Rolrich and I get along famously. We exchange pleasant
letters over this list, and generally agree on issues, though we also
disagree politely from time to time. What's that got to do with anything?
Politcally she and I are on opposite ends on many or most topics in that
realm. (Whether she yet realizes it or not <g>.) We are able, however, to
keep our discourse pleasant and friendly, and I quite enjoy her postings --
despite the fact that I am not alligned with the feminist movement on alot of
things.

So, please, if you're juding this list on the basis of confrontations
involving RJ, please re-consider.
