we've been having the eternal debate on a lang research list however one
person came out with an interetsing question and I know that there are some

I thought the brain did not "grow" (in terms of cellular multiplication)
after birth, but that neural networks di develop (the connections between
nerve cells "grow"). I had believed that mylenization interefered with
making new networks. Am I off-track?
