RESEARCH POSITION
Institute of Ethnology, Academia Sinica in Taipei, Taiwan, invites
applications for a tenur-track research position in sociocultural anthropology
with area specialization in either East or Southeast Asia (excluding China
and Taiwan). The appointment, beginning July 1, 1997, will be at either
Assistant, Associate or Full Research Fellow level, depending on the
qualification of the applicant. PhD in anthropology and proficiency in
Chinese language are required. Applications should be received before Dec.
31, 1996, and should include: a cover letter stating the interest in appli
cation, curriculum vitae, official certification of the awarding of doctoral
degree, two recommendation letters, and reprints of major publications.
