If one is really fond of the 'meme' concept, be aware that Kenneth Pike
deserves prior credit, both in time and for rigor [his term was 'behavioreme',
a unit that was defined in terms of some kind of verifiable discovery
method based on the extension of the -etic/emic units in the Linguistics
of the day, (Pike's variant of Linguistics)].
