Thanks to D. Reed, M. Tomaso, and E. Taborsky for your varied responses. When
I get them back from the printer in hard copy, they'll get the more serious
attention they merit. I apologize if my reference to Levi-Straus was a bit sup
erficial or distorted, but it was a facetious addendum to a more serious ques-
tion if debated over "primate" culture and the "polarity" of religion and
science didn't suffer from a certain "hardening of the categories."
