Looking at Pat Shipman's book, where she notes Washburn's speech to the
AAA as published in AA 65:521-532, 1963. I see nothing about a Coon
response. Perhaps Coon's 1981 autobiography? (Adventures and Discoveries:
The Autobiography of Carleton S. Coon, Anthropologist and Explorer.
Englewood Cliffs, Prentice Hall.). I haven't read this ., nor have I read
his "Comment on "Bogus Science."" J. Heredity ,59(5):275, 1968.
