UNIVERSITY OF KANSAS, Department of Anthropology, invites applications for a
tenure-track position at the level of Assistant Professor in sociocultural
anthropology beginning August 16, 1995, contingent upon budgetary approval.
Geographical specialization in contemporary Latin America is required. Topical
specialization is open, but a concentration in one or more of the following is
preferred: ethnohistory, folklore, religion, mythology, museum studies. The
successful candidate will be full-time in the Department of Anthropology, and
will be expected to play an active role in the University's strong Latin American
Studies program. Ph.D. at time of appointment. Salary competitive. Please send
