Anyone interested in this subject should see the recent mexican film
"Novia que te vea" by Guita Schyfter. It might be out on video by now.
The film treats growing up jewish in mexico beautifully, and won "best
first feature film" at the Our Essence Film Festival in Providence, RI
this past spring.
