ok, here's my two cents worth. when i was teaching in high school before
coming to grad school, we were doing a bit on Phoenician culture, and as
we were preparing for a test one student raised his hand. he said, "ok,
i understand that the Phoenicians were a great civilization and all, but
why did they name the blinds after them..?
