Laval job posting

One of the things that I did not see in the Laval job posting was that the
department there has an informal policy of excluding male applicants by
the simple expedient of only asking for referees' letters in the case of
female applicants. If this is a nasty and unsubstantiated rumour, I would
welcome some clarification over the net by the original poster; if it is
indeed the Laval anthro department's policy, then I would likewise welcome
a statement to that effect.
