The following was posted to me personally. It seems clearly directed at
the List in general, so I am re-posting it to all. Direct all replies to

Hi Friends,

Can somebody over ther help me. I am a lecturer in a Department of
anthropology in Ireland. In front of me is a CV of a Mexican
anthropologist buy the name Andres Fabregas who is intending to
visit us and the Mexican Ambassador is organising his vist! Don't
ask me why. Dr. Fabregas was the head of the Chiapas culture
Institute which is now integrated (accoding to the CV) with
Chiapas Science and Arts Institute.

Is there anything important about this man that I should know?

Also few weeks ago I heard about an anthropologist who was
detained by government troops in the area. Can I get a repeat
of that information before.

Hope somebody will help me soon. My knowledge about the Chiapas
and their plight is restricted to general media.
