This list is not public space. It is a forum for professional discussion of
anthropology. RJ seems more interested in provocation than in real discussion of
issues. I am perfectly capable of using my delete key, but RJ, and replies to
RJ, and posts about RJ and on and on are getting as tiresome as OJ. I suggest a
temporary banishment for RJ. Two weeks in the wilderness of alt/? to think about
the tone of his exchanges on this list ... then a second chance. More than fair,
I think. Again, this is not public space. Do those of you crying censorship
believe a teacher has a right to insist on order in their classroom? Hugh has
every right to insist on a certain level of order and even decorum on HIS list.
