Dear Mr. Jarvis:

I received several items from the Anthro-L list. I am sure from these e-mail
items, I am going to enjoy your list, and I will learn a lot.

In my anthropology studies, I studied ancient and/or past peoples. But these
e-mail items were on modern people, some on economics of the present day
people. This is already broading my understanding of the scope of
anthropology.

And I received your memo about the bills S314 and H1004. I have called my
Federal senators and congressman, and asked them for a copy of each of these
bills. My sons and I will be reading them. I hope that you don't mind if I
write to you asking you questions about them. Maybe you want to get a copy
of these bills and read them too so that you can answer peoples questions.
