Video ideas on ethnic adaptation?

Dear folks,
I am teaching a course on the role of music in cultural maintenance in
American cities. My focus, then, is urban, emphasizing change and the
construction of meaning.
I am looking for new video ideas. In particular, I would like ideas on the
following two units:
1. Life-cycle ceremonies, i.e., quincinieras, weddings, funerals, etc.
2. Ethnic heritage and language schools.
The videos need not present a prominent role for music, but nor should
such performances be entirely absent.
