DEPARTMENT OF SOCIAL ANTHROPOLOGY

The Department of Social Anthropology at the University of
Manchester, England, is seeking make an appointment to a Chair of
Social Anthropology with effect from September 1996. It is
expected that the post will be formally advertised around the end
of September 1995, with a closing date for applications of early
