In a message from John McCreery 16/7/96 he assumed that in discussion
tatooing, and in particular circumcison etc we were talking about irreversiable
processes. The first century Roman medical writer Celsus in fact
described two medical procedures in which one could reverse the effects
of circumcison. It would appear that Roman citizens whom had undergone
this procedure as an infant and wanted it 'undone' due to fashion etc now
had the option to reverse the procedure. Like marriage, it is reversable.
