If you're looking at the literature on displacement, I'd contact Rabel
Burdge at the Institute for Environmental Studies at the University of
Illinois at Urbana-Champaign. He and many others worked on a range of
projects both in Kentucky and Illinois. Though more oriented toward
relocation engendered by water resources projects (lakes and dams), the
social/familial issues and relationships with contracting agencies have
many parallels.
