In response to the request for more fieldwork gear ideas:
I don't think anyone mentioned aqua sox for people who work in wet
places--they are those funny looking shoes make out of netting with thick
rubber soles that are tough enough for reef walking. Also, an extensive
bike repair kit saved us.
