Objectively, two organisms of the same species engaged in patterned
interaction in time and space constitute the minimal *social group*.
Any features of their way of life that have been socially acquired
comprise this social group's *culture.* It follows from these
definitions that the answer to S. Wilson's query "How many people does
it take to create a culture?" is easy: at least two. The same answer
goes for any other species as well. --Bob Graber
