Oh? You thought that my note was about Chiapas? All I can say, Tom, is that
I am not responsible for your problems in reading comprehension. Read it once
more, carefully this time. Then post your analysis of the text for all of us
to read, demonstrating that my post was about the people in Chiapas and not
about a self-serving young man from Colorado. Or do you assume that someone's
claim to represent the people of Chiapas is tantamount to his embodying those
people and that issue? If the latter is the case, then maybe it would be a
good idea to read some of Korbzyski, the philosopher. Particularly his dictum-
"The map is not the territory." Anthropologists are not the only ones who
frequently forget this. Wars have been fought over this very dictum, the issue
over which the Christian church separated into Greek Orthodox and Roman
Catholic. Only computer technology has managed to override it without getting
anyone killed.
