Shifting gears,now, it occurs to me that the felt reality of
community combines factors: (1) membership (If someone says, "You're
an X" I agree or disagree) and (2) involvement (a scale that ranges
from "not my business" to "family, I'd die for you." Without
involvement membership is mere classification.
