Now, just a minute here! I've been following this bemusedly, in general
agreement with the intentions, with an occassional request to clear up some
ambiguity. But does this mean I must ask someone for permission before I
display a Santa Clara bowl (bought in Santa Fe in 1967) on my mantel, or
before I listen to a recording of Cherokee flute music wearing my pajamas?

Agreeing that Native American offense at Atlanta Braves' fans use of the
"Tomahawk chop," and most Christians' disgust at the KKK's flaming cross
are entitled to serious thought (and warrant respectful consideration,)
aren't these propositions couched too broadly to be workable as some sort of
"code"?
