are you not aware of the linguistic changes that accompany political
changes? do you subject your students, male as well as female, to the
use of "mankind" when you could just as easily say "humanity" or several
other synonyms? Or when you use "man" as representing human beings? Why
do you ccontinue this male-dominant language? What psychological need
