University of Utah, Department of Anthropology invites applications
for a tenure-track position in Cultural Anthropology at the assistant
professor level. Review of applications will begin December 15, 1993
and will continue until position is filled. Ph.D. required. We seek
applicants whose research specialties cover economic anthropology
and/or political economy, and who are prepared to develop and teach
courses in anthropological theory, the intellectual history of the
discipline, and in the areas of research and geographic expertise.
Candidates are expected to have and maintain an active program of
research and publication, as well as to complement and enhance
existing programs in the Department. A geographical focus in Central
America, South America, or Asia is preferred. Applicants should
submit a letter of interest, vita, and names of three references to:
