I am just winding up a course with Alice B. Kehoe's North American Indians a on
e of the texts. Great book, full of ethnogrpahic detail and connections to gen
eral concepts and theories! But unfortunately, she skipped footnotes. There w
as a reference, which at the moment I cannot rediscover, to some kind of inter-
national symposium (perhaps in Russia) on culture contacts around and across th
e Northern Pacific, presumably inm both prehistoric and early historic times.
Can anyone provide a source for further information?
