NEW LIST
ANTHAP4 (ANTHAP Discussion Channel 4) is devoted to discussing
issues relating to Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons, Forced
and Involuntary Migration and Resettlement.
The leader of the list is Dr. Vance Geiger
<geiger@pegasus.cc.ucf.edu>.
The goals of the discussion are to:
* Disseminate information relating to the present situations,
circumstances and conditions of Refugees, Internally Displaced
people and Forced or Involuntary Migrants.
* Disseminate information related to policies implemented by
Governments and agencies that affect the present situations,
circumstances and conditions of Refugees, Internally Displaced
people and Forced or Involuntary Migrants.
* Attempt to initiate a long-overdue theoretical discussion on
issues related to the causes and effects of refugee flows on
refugees themselves, countries of origin, countries of asylum and
resettlement countries and communities.
The Issues and Information relevant to discussion and
dissemination on this list include but ARE NOT LIMITED to:
* Current and Historical flows of Refugees, Internally Displaced
people and Forced or Involuntary Migrants.
* Environmental Conditions of Refugees, Internally Displaced
people and Forced or Involuntary Migrants during flight,
relocation, in refugee camps and during resettlement and/or
repatriation and reintegration.
* Policies relating to refugee flows, refugee asylum, refugee
repatriation and resettlement
* Current and/or past research on issues relating to: Refugees,
Internally Displaced people and Forced or Involuntary Migrants.
* Sociological, anthropological, government and/or agency policy
determinations of the definitions of: Refugees, Internally
Displaced People and Forced or Involuntary Migrants.
* Theoretical Issues related to all of the above.
