Dear Matthew: Here you are "just" a graduate student and I a long-time
teacher, and I couldn't agree with you more. I think it's lousy when
anthro departments formally de-construct, rather than add on, but I
expect it'll be a long while before pomo officially takes over everywhere,
and in the
long meanwhile most of us will meander in the groves we care about. Ruby
