A friend of mine specializes in word-processing software for languages
spoken in the North of Africa. He would be very interested in an
implementation of the Berber language within the TeX system. This
would constitute a low-budget system for typesetting texts in Berber.

Berbers are an ethnic group in Morocco. Their language is strongly
suppressed by the Moroccan government, who wants to impose Arab as
the single Moroccan language. Berber has its own alphabet.

I would be very much interested in receiving information on attempts
to implement Berber within the TeX typesetting system.
