african american women and aids

I am an undergraduate student who is currently working on a project
involving african american women who are HIV positive and were IV drug
users. My area of focus is the rural South but includes migration to
cities in the North such as New York City. I am looking for statistics
relating to race and gender of health care providers in a hospice
setting. I am also interested in any materials relating to daily life
for Afri-American women in Harlem or the Bronx during the 1970's and
1980's. I would very much appreciate any information or suggestions
