linguistics and music

I am currently doing a literature search for a research project that
involves the investigation of linguistic aspects of musical discourse in
different societies.

To avoid redundancy, I am already aware of the published works of
Seeger(s), Feld, Keil, Fox, Stone, Zemp, Basso, Nattiez, and several
others who actively probe the relationships between language, music, and
cognition.

I am particularly looking for "grey" literature --theses, dissertations,
unpublished papers, etc.-- that address musicology, cognitive structure,
semiotics and anthropological linguistics. Any responses would be
greatly appreciated.

By the way, does anyone else think that it's sad that I could not find
one music newsgroup worth posting this in. Does anyone know if
musicology and ethnomusicology are seriously discussed in any
newsgroups?

Regards,
MJ Potter
