There is a short article on differences in child-raising practices by an
Philipino-American, Amparo B. Ojeda, "Growing Up American: Doing the Right
Thing," in DeVita and Armstrong, eds., Distant Mirrors: America as a
Foreign Culture. Belmont, CA: Wadsworth. There might be some
bibliography that will help you.
