Does evolution occur only on the earth? Could it be that we are
seeing the history of the evolution of galaxies as we look back in time?
Or, the old chestnut, the evolution of physical laws with time.
Also, these galaxies are more "alive" than physicists can credit
them with being. For instance, M87 is considered to be a "cannibal
galaxy". It contains several undigested smaller galaxies. Now this
sounds like life to me.
Lastly, do cars evolve because those automobiles who survive crashes
reproduce themselves, or because the designers correct defects as they find
them?
