Whether or not 1 is prime is more a matter of convention than
definition. It's mathematically uncool to jump all over someone
just because he chooses different conventions, as long as he
makes his conventions different.

I could claim there are integers without unique factorisation.
I would be correct if I were talking about some Gaussian integers.
