Actually, when I was a columnist for the school paper, I wrote a piece on
how our senses gather a very narrow band of available information from
our surroundings, and that processing errors can leave us with very
inaccurate impressions of those surroundings.

This, however, is not evidence for Plato's contention that we really
cannot trust a shred of what our senses tell us, which may be where
you're going with this.
