They may not have any interest in pursuing wealth, but they
do have an interest in food, which argues for not killing the NEA.

(The problem, wrt the NEA, is most likely the disbursement of
large sums to large arts organizations, who spend big chunks
on expensive openings and such, partially due to a desire to
pamper the wealthy private patrons.)
