Ellipsis arts just put out a nice collection of field recordings from
three different people who have gone to live with various hunter-gatherer
("pygmies") in Central Africa. The recordings span from the 1950's to the
contemporary and deal with three different ethnic groups. Its called
"Echoes of the Forest" and includes a 64 page booklet and a rather nice
discography of other sources of music in this part of the world. You can
find it in any Tower Records.
