Earliest Humans in America?

Hi,

I have heard that recent datings of American sites
have pushed back the dates of the earliest inhabitants
of the New World. Dates like 32,000BP and earlier
were mentioned.

These dates are considerably earlier than what
I was taught as a student.

Can anyone give me references for these datings? One
of the oldest was said to be in Brasil. Internet URLS
would also be helpful.
