If humans did not actively harvest salt and did not put it into food
and only drank fresh water (i.e. from streams) or fresh water lakes,
could we get enough salt from vegetables or do we need to eat animal
flesh?

I realize that rivers differ in quantities of minerals in
them and so do lakes? ARe there any particular plants
that seem to concentrate salt?

Do shellfish have much salt?
