The _Chicago Anthropology Exchange_ (CAE) is making a world-wide call for
papers. The CAE is a student-run journal produced by graduate students in
the University of Chicago's Department of Anthropology. We publish papers,
articles, research reports, and reviews in any of the subdisciplines of
anthropological inquiry, although the contributor need not be an
anthropologist. We accept papers only from those people who have not yet
received a Ph.D.

Some recent articles published in the CAE include:

"Imagining a Virtual Religious Community: Neo-Pagans and the Internet"

"Paleoecological Implications of Fossil Faunal Remains from Bed I,
Olduvai Gorge, Tanzania"

"Creoles, Language Acquisition, and Unmarked Parameters in Universal
Grammar: A Critical Assessment of Bickerton's Bioprogram Hypothesis"

"Modeling Masako: Commodities and the Construction of a Modern Princess"

"Working in the Schizophrenic Discipline: Levi-Strauss and Phenomenology?"

The deadline for the Fall 1995 issue is June 30, 1995. Submissions in the
format listed below should be sent to:

Chicago Anthropology Exchange
Department of Anthropology
University of Chicago
1126 E. 59th St.
Chicago, IL 60637

Submissions should not exceed 20 double-spaced, typewritten pages,
excluding bibliography and endnotes (longer papers will be considered
under exceptional circumstances). Authors should send a 3.5" disk (in
ASCII, MS Word or WordPerfect for Macintosh or PC) and two hard copies of
their submission with the author's name, institutional affiliation (if
any), address, and phone number listed on a separate sheet, only (not on
all pages of the submission). Any graphs or charts which cannot be
submitted on disk should be included in camera-ready condition. Authors
should follow the conventions of the _American Anthropologist_ when
formatting references, endnotes, and bibliography.

Any questions about submissions, subscriptions or back issue purchases
should be directed to Erin Miller at ermiller@midway.uchicago.edu or
ermiller@tezcat.com.
