If I may jump in here....how were the calories evaluated?
Calories per time, or per distance? I would be willing to accept
that running for ten minutes burns more calories than swimming
for ten minutes, but if by efficiency we mean the ability to
travel (both speed and distance), I think you'd agree that
bipedalism is the clear winner.
