Did they discuss "kuru"? The viral brain infection that still may be found
in Niugini (New Guinea) that was spread by ritual eating-of-brains of the
deceased?

Scientific American had an article on Kuru a year or so back. The disease
is also carried by sheep, and occasionally turns up in shepherds who
(so far as anyone can ascertain) have not been engaging in canabalism.
