Actually ... is cheaper the more it's used. It compares to the concept of
purchasing in bulk. Say you can buy one apple for 50 cents, but you can buy
three apples for a dollar. The telephone connections are purchased in bulk
time ... the less it's used the more expensive each separate use is. Plus,
being a member on five other listserv services ... I receive around 150
messages a day. About 20 percent of those messages are from Anthro-L a list
of around 800 ... while 60 percent are from a list that has only 200
members. On that list it is a bit easier to suffle through the messages
though. Submissions have SUB in the subject. Critiques have CRIT. Filler
is FILL. I'm sure you get the drift. I don't know if that would work here,
but using a code for different inquiries might be a solution for you ...
just delete the ones you don't want to read. That way the list doesnt' have
to revert to censorship. Just a thought.
