I'm not familiar with Rindos. Sociobiology is indeed a school of
selectionism. That, after all, has been its critics' biggest bitch.
Nice point about marxism and evolutionism being non-alternatives, though,
Mary Beth. Proximate theories (hormone/social influences, etc.) are not
alternatives to ultimate theories (the evolutionary why's of a hormone's
presence, etc.)
