It's not about evolutionism per se, George. It's about standards of
evidence and the scientific method. Any scientist familiar with the
relevant evidence has concluded that creationism is not science. It does
not posit falsifiable/testable predictions, for starters.

Wrong. States should not mandate that non-scientific topics be taught *as
science*. No scientist I know would object to the teaching of various
creation stories in a non-science class, on say religion or philosophy.
