There's a great book out which discusses much of what's been said here
called "The Trees Are Dying - The Pandemic in America's Forests." It's by
a guy named Little. Email me if you're interested in his full name and
the publisher.
Mr. Little writes a very well researched, balanced book which shows we're
in deep doo-doo. He says we've managed to accomplish 10,000 years worth
of environmental changes in just 100 years. One person he quotes talks
about the ice age and how trees dying preceded the last one.
Don't know what the answer, but it seems to me we better get off our butts
now and do what we can.
